This is shown by its alliance with France and Britain to attack Egypt in 1956, by its attack on Egypt, Syria and Jordan [that smashed] air of nationalism in 1967, and by its cutting offers to attack Iran in order to damage that country that refuses to follow the US,” he said.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nEU Policy Unaffected by Polls\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nNapier pointed to a 2003 opinion poll on Israel as proof the EU policy towards Palestine is unaffected by public opinion and other concerns. \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n“The EU held an opinion poll of citizens in 2003 where 59 percent of EU citizens reported that they considered Israel to be a major threat to world peace.”\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n“After Israel complained about the views of European citizens, Mr. Franco Frattini, the EU foreign policy spokesperson, promised Israel that the views of EU citizens would not influence EU foreign policy towards Israel and Palestine,” he said.\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nGov’ts Trying to Suppress Dissent\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nInstead of hearing the voice of their own people, Napier said, governments within the EU actively work to suppress criticism of Israel inside their borders, citing his experiences as evidence.\r\n\r\n“Extreme Zionist groups are constantly trying to attack [us] as anti-Semitic, but this is not very important.
