Palestinian Authority Rami Hamdallah will meet Israeli Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon (Kulanu) on Sunday, as reported by Israeli Hadashot (formerly Channel 2 News) on Monday.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

According to the report, this is the second meeting in past months between two sides.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
<\/p>\r\n\r\n
The two sides have met several times in the past year and discussed mainly economic issues. As the report reveals Hamdallah is reportedly interested in renewing some of the joint projects with Israel that have been stalled since Trump's controversial recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
<\/p>\r\n\r\n
Following Trump's announcement, PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas declared that he would "no longer accept" any peace plan proposed by the United States. In addition, the PA boycotted Vice President Mike Pence's visit to the region last week.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
<\/p>\r\n\r\n
According to Monday's report, a meeting on Sunday between Trump's envoy Jason Greenblatt and Kahlon was discussed on the understanding that the PA is more interested in economic relations with Israel despite Trump's controversial recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital.<\/p>\r\n\r\n

According to the media report Kahlon was chosen to address these issues because of his good relations with Hamdallah.<\/p>\r\n\r\n
