They chanted pro-Palestinian slogans such as: "No Israel, long live Palestine!", and they painted murals on walls supporting the Palestinian resistance and wrote the word intifada (uprising).\r\n\t \r\n\tMuhammad Khalil, a participant in the march, told Anadolu News Agency: "Canadians support the Palestinian cause, and this becomes very obvious whenever Israel attacks Gaza or violates Al-Aqsa Mosque, but on the other hand the Canadian government shows support for Israel which doesn't reflect the people's attitude."\r\n\t \r\n\tElin Sixton, another participant in the march, said: " I was in a convoy of French and British activists and we tried to enter Gaza in 2008, but the Egyptian authorities prevented us from entering through Rafah crossing, and we tried again in 2010, but the situation was the same and we couldn't even reach the borders, but we will not give up".\r\n\r\n\tThe Egyptian authorities were preventing the activists’ convoys from entering Gaza through Rafah border crossing under the pretext of not fulfilling the required paperwork to enter.\r\n\r\n\tAdel Sharqawi, the founder of "Quebec Collective Against Islamophobia", said: "vandals attacked 12 mosques this month in Quebec, the press didn't react and the police didn't take the matter of targeting Muslims' interests seriously".","content_html":"
