It said the wrong policies drew the movement from the regional axis of resistance and brought it close to pro-western governments in the region.\r\n\r\n\tAl-Minar states however that not all Hamas politicians must be considered to be sharing the wrong stance, adding that the wrong policies were largely committed by the movement’s political bureau chief Khalid Mashaal.\r\n\r\n\tThe newspaper goes on to say that Hamas has only two ways forward to survive the political upheaval, either to boost its relations with Qatar or to draw close to the Fatah movement. The newspaper notes that the first option has been already out of reach as the new Qatari emir has gave the movement a deadline to leave the country.\r\n\r\n\tThe newspaper also maintains that Hamas would not lose its popular position and only its leader Mashaal and his close confidants would from the popular grace.
