Office of United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on Monday acknowledged Iranian school students' concern about the desperate human right situation their age group are suffering in Gaza Strip. <\/p>\r\n
"On behalf of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights I would like to acknowledge receipt of a large number of petitions signed by school students of the Islamic Republic of Iran who are concerned about difficult human rights situation facing the children of the Gaza Strip," Adam Abdelmoula, Coordinator of UN Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Middle East and North Africa said in a statement. <\/p>\r\n
"I would also like to thank your organization for this initiative to promote engagement and concern among school children for the human rights of children in other countries. Spreading the values and the knowledge of human rights is an important step towards the realization of human rights for all. This is also one of the tasks of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, along with advocating for the respect of human rights everywhere, including Palestine. <\/p>\r\n
"Finally, I would also like to inform you that I have shared this petitions with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), which is the lead United Nations entity tasked with promoting the rights of children. <\/p>\r\n
