Mottaki, who had taken part in the 19th such meeting in Riyadh last year, said, "The Islamic Republic of Iran, as the only non -Arab state having the highest number of Arab neighbors, maintains good relations with the Arabs."Elsewhere in his remarks, Mottaki hailed successful organization of the summit despite certain foreign attempts to prevent its holding or minimize its importance.In some point of the interview, Mottaki said the Islamic Republic of Iran is seeking to strengthen ties among all Arab nations especially the relations of Syria and Saudi Arabia."No particular mediation effort between Syria and Saudi Arabia is being made but we have outlined our stance during separate talks with both sides," Mottaki said.He hailed ties between Saudi Arabia and Iran and said during recent years there have been meetings between the two countries'officials at different levels.
