Human Rights Watch denounced the Zionist regime for breaching the international humanitarian law with its use of cluster weapons in southern Lebanon in 2006. <\/p>\r\n
The complaint of the international rights group came ahead of Monday's opening of a 120-nation conference in the New Zealand capital, Wellington, on a proposed convention to ban cluster munitions that cause widespread harm to civilians. <\/p>\r\n
In a 131-page report, Human Rights Watch confirmed that the Zionist regime violated international humanitarian law with hundreds of "indiscriminate and disproportionate cluster munitions attacks on Lebanon". <\/p>\r\n
The United Nations and human rights groups have reported that the Zionist regime dropped about four million cluster bombs over southern Lebanon during the 33-day war. Up to one million failed to explode and now endanger civilians in the area.
