Seized Zionist soldier alive, well
The Zionist soldier Gilad Shalit, seized by Palestinian activists in June 2006, is still alive and being treated well, Hamas Political Bureau Chif Khaled Mashaal said in a Sky News interview screened Monday.
"Gilad is alive and we are treating him in a good way while the Israelis treat our captives badly and everyone knows that," he told the British broadcaster in Damascus.
Shalit was seized on June 25, 2006 from an army base near Gaza by activists from three Palestinian resistance groups including al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, affiliated to Hamas movement.
