Thousands of people, among them women and children, demonstrated in Berlin's city center on Saturday, voicing their outrage over systematic killing of Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank by Israeli regime.
Organized by German-based Muslim groups, the crowd chanted 'Baby, children and women killers Israel', 'Allah o Akbar', 'Long live Palestine', 'Zionists are fascists', 'Mass murderers Israel', 'Palestine belongs to Palestinians' and 'Palestine until victory'.
The protesters condemned Israeli "barbaric" military acts in the strongest terms, while urging Germany and the European Union to cease its support for the Zionist regime.
The demonstrators called also for international protection of innocent Palestinians who are facing massacres by Tel Aviv regime.
Referring to the new Palestinian intifada, one speaker said that the popular Palestinian uprising in Gaza aimed at "defending the rights of the Palestinian nation against Israeli aggression." "The intifada is a symbol of resistance of all oppressed people on the whole planet. The intifada also symbolizes the self-realization, emancipation and freedom of the Palestinian people," the speaker added.
Another person, addressing the demonstrators, said Israel remained the only occupying power in 2008, while the Palestinian people were the only nation to suffer from what he termed the "brutal occupation."
The speaker lashed out at the continued land grab of the Zionist regime in the West Bank.
"While Israel has been expanding Jewish settlements, it has turned Palestinian villages and towns into prisons," the speaker added.
The international community, with the exception of the US, Germany and a handful of other western countries, have expressed their dismay and anger over the atrocities of the Zionist regime in Gaza.
Iran has called on International Criminal Court to bring to justice Tel Aviv leaders for committing war crimes in Gaza and the West Bank in a series of indiscriminate air raids since February 27.
