UNRWA Warns of Crisis in Gaza
Spokesmen for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) said Tuesday that Gaza was running short on food despite recent humanitarian shipments that were allowed to enter the area via Israeli crossings.
While more than 160 trucks carrying food and humanitarian supplies entered Gaza on Tuesday, and more entered earlier in the week, spokesmen said the food would not suffice for the more than one million Gaza Arabs who are given UN assistance.
Spokesmen also warned that Gaza's health system was "on the verge of collapse." They called on Zionist regime to allow concrete to enter Gaza via Israeli crossings so that the UN could complete building projects meant to improve Gaza clinics and hospitals.
