Larijani: Carnage leads to new Intifada

The IR Leader's representative to the Supreme National Security Council said massacre of Palestinian people will trigger a new Intifada.

Ali Larijani told a group of thinkers that Israeli artillery attacks on defenseless Palestinian people put a nail on the political coffin of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert.

He said the defeat in 33-day war on Lebanon has terrified Israelis and recent events in the region are outcome of the strange behaviors of the US and Israel.

He noted that the summits of Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) had not practically been much successful.

He said that dialogue and cooperation among Muslim states are the key to Islamic unity.
