Israeli official urges direct Hamas talks

A former chief of the Zionist regime's domestic security service offered his regime should talk directly to the Palestinian government in Gaza about certain issues.

 

According to APTN, direct talks could produce quicker results than negotiations mediated by Egypt and others, Yaakov Peri, formed head of Shin Bet, told Israel Radio.

 

The Zionist regime is trying to win the release of a soldier, Gilad Shalit, arrested by Palestinian fighters in June 2006.

 

While the Zionist regime seeks Shalit's release, nearly 11,000 Palestinians are suffering under harsh conditions in Israeli prisons, most of them civilians.
