Old woman, 85th victim of Gaza siege

Palestinian medical sources reported on Wednesday that a Palestinian old woman died late Tuesday night because the Israeli army would not allow her to leave the Gaza Strip for medical care.

Dr. Mo'awiah Hassanin of the Palestinian Ministry of Health told IMEMC that Amneh Al Madhon, 60, from Beit Lahyia town, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip, had Breast Cancer, and she died because she was not allowed to leave Gaza for Israeli or West Bank hospitals to get the proper treatment.

Al Madhon is the 85th patient to die from a serious illness in Gaza due to Zionists' siege that has been imposed on the Palestinian coastal region since June 2007.
