Damascus conference ends

 
The Palestinian factions which had convened in Damascus for a three day meeting ended their conference on Friday calling for a Palestinian national dialogue, aimed at settling inter-Palestinian political conflict.
 
Palestinian national conference urged international, Islamic and Arab foundations, on the top the United Nations, Organization of Islamic Conference and the Arab League, to work with all available means and pressure in international and regional circles to stop the systematic and collective punishment practiced by the Zionist occupation forces against the Palestinian people.
 
In its final statement, the conference expressed its rejection of schemes targeting the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly the right of return of refugees and displaced persons to their homes, cities and lands.This natural and legal is inalienable and acknowledged by the international legitimacy.
 
 The statement emphasized the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and establishment of a fully sovereign Palestinian state with Beit Ul Moqaddas as its capital, stressing rejection of schemes that attempt to divide sovereignty over Beit Ul Moqaddas or detract from the full Palestinian sovereignty.
 
The statement emphasized that the Palestinian national unity is a national firm that must be devoted and protected by every body, pointing out that the language of dialogue and understanding is the only way to resolve differences.
 
It prohibited fighting among brothers and demanded Fatah and Hamas to access to the language of dialogue an sit down together for understanding on the basis of what was agreed upon in Cairo, the National Accord Document and Mecca Agreement for the maintenance of the Palestinian blood and the protection of the Palestinian national unity.
 
The conference called for launching a comprehensive national Palestinian dialogue to re-activate the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) with the participation of everyone without exception.
 
The conference called all national, Arab and international foundations to work to release the Palestinian prisoners jailed in the Israeli prisons.
