In an emergency session, the UN Human Rights Council condemned Zionists' recent crimes and violations of human rights in the Gaza Strip.

The UN top body passed a resolution proposed by Arab and Muslim countries by 30 votes in favor, one against and 15 abstentions during its 6th meeting in Geneva. Canada voted against the measure.

The resolution also demands the lifting of the blockade on Gaza and supplying fuel, food, and drugs to the residents of the area. It also calls for international action to protect Palestinian civilians.

The Zionist regime and the US representative refrained from participating in the meeting.

The Iranian UN representative also condemned the Zionist regime's recent crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, warning the international community and the UN Rights Body of a humanitarian disaster taking place in the region.
