Israeli army officers call on Olmert to quit

Fifty Zionists' Reserve commanders sent Prime Minister Ehud Olmert a letter calling on him to resign because of failures in the Second Lebanon War.

 

They charged the Prime Minister with refusing "to accept standards of personal responsibility."

 

Channel 2 television showed the letter on its newscast Monday night.

 

The letter was sent less than two weeks before the Winograd Committee is to issue its final report.
