Arab doctors call for lift of siege

 

The Union of Arab Doctors called Sunday on the Arab and International communities to stop the continuous Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.

 

Executive Director of the Emergency Relief Committee at the Union of Arab doctors Dr. Jamal Abdelsalam said during a press conference that the situation in Gaza was awful, indicating that Zionist regime's decision to prevent United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) from providing relief aid for Palestinians is going to lead to a catastrophe there.

 

Preventing fuel from reaching Gaza has grave consequences, resulting in the shut-down of vital services, stated the official.

 

Meanwhile, General Secretary for UNRWA Dr. Ibrahim Al-Zafarni affirmed that 1.5 million people were living under harsh conditions in Gaza and with the latest Israeli actions there the situation could only get worst.
