Iran operation indicates resistance’s power to eradicate Zionist regime

Tehran, Qodsna - A session on the regional and international repercussions and dimensions of Iran's punishment of the Zionist regime was held by the Society for the Defense of the Palestinian Nation (SDPN) on Tuesday morning. The session was attended by Secretary General of the Tehran-based Society for the Defense of the Palestinian Nation Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Hassan Rahimian, Representative of Hezbollah to Iran Abdullah Safi al-Din, and Professor at the University of Tehran Ebrahim Motaghi.

Hojjatoleslam Rahimian told Qodsna: This glorious operation, which was a source of solace for the oppressed people of Gaza and the Islamic world, is in fact the beginning of a path that demonstrates the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the axis of resistance to eradicate the Zionist regime from the scene of history.

The Secretary-General of the Society for the Defense of the Palestinian Nation stated: When we look at the past, we will find that Iran has become a major power. The path outlined by Imam Khomeini in reviving pure Islam has transformed Iran into a major power and the axis of resistance. Imam Khomeini, by revealing American Islam in the eyes of everyone, which served the interests of the US arrogance and the Zionist regime, transformed it into an Islam of resistance against oppression as well as steadfastness against arrogance.

Furthermore, Hojjatoleslam Rahimian referred to the strong blow dealt by the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Zionist regime due to the crime committed in Damascus, saying: The operation carried out by Iran should be considered as a punitive measure that was done with prior notice, not as a finalizing operation, which Iran was actually capable of.

Abdullah Safi al-Din described Iran's retaliatory response to the Zionist regime as a significant and consequential transformation, the effects of which will become clearer over time, adding that the regime has become a burden for the West and the United States.

Regarding the dimensions of Iran's punishment of the Zionist regime, he emphasized that the results and effects of this action will become clearer over time. He also said with the victory of the Islamic Revolution under the leadership of Imam Khomeini (RA), a new phase was established, and Imam Khomeini (RA) established the central slogan "The Zionist regime can be destroyed."

He described how resistance in Palestine empowered, and the Islamic Jihad movement was launched under the influence of Imam Khomeini (RA). Gaza was liberated, and the belief that "we can fight the Zionist regime and emerge victorious" became more entrenched.

Ibrahim Mottaghi, a professor at the University of Tehran, also said in this session that defensive thinking is based on deterrence, and the incident that occurred in Iran's retaliatory operation was based on the United Nations Charter.

The university professor went on to say that when Iran entered the issue of retaliation, its action was unavoidable. In fact, Iran's action was not retaliatory and baseless, but it was justified by the United Nations Charter, and Tehran proved that there is no one-way street in international politics.
