General strike in solidarity with Gaza

A general strike was declared on Monday morning in the occupied West Bank as part of a worldwide strike staged in solidarity with the Gaza Strip, which has been exposed to a US-backed Israeli genocidal war for 66 days.

Businesses, schools and different public facilities observed the strike and shut down their doors across the West Bank, amid angry protests and clashes with the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) in different flashpoint areas.

In a statement, Palestinian resistance factions, which called for the strike, urged the citizens to participate in clashes today with the IOF across the occupied territories.

Accordingly, Palestinian citizens stopped going to their workplaces and public transportation also came to a halt.

A coalition of Palestinian factions has called for a global strike in solidarity with the people of the Gaza Strip, as the Zionist regime’s deadly war on the besieged territory rages.

The global action includes not leaving homes, not buying anything (cash or online), and not using bank accounts or making any transactions.

So far, at least 17,700 people, including 7,729 children and 5,153 women, have been martyred in Zionist regime’s strikes in the Gaza Strip, and at least 48,780 others wounded.

Zionist regime waged the bloody war on Gaza on October 7, after the Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas carried out an unprecedented retaliatory operation into the occupied territories over the regime’s intensified violence against Palestinians.
