5300 Palestinians martyred in Zionist regime’s aggression on Gaza

5300 Palestinians have been martyred in the Gaza Strip since Zionist regime launched a relentless bombing campaign against the besieged enclave more than two weeks ago.
About 40 percent of the 5,300 people martyred are children, Gaza’s Ministry of Health said on Monday evening, the day when Zionist regime’s army said it carried out more than 300 new air attacks within 24 hours, resulted in more than 400 martyrs.
2,055 children, 1,119 women and girls, and 217 elderly people, are among the victims, while over 18,000 others were injured.
Thousands of buildings have been destroyed, and more than one million people displaced in the territory, which has been under siege and largely deprived of water, food and other basic supplies.
Gaza’s government media office said more than 60 people were martyred in the raids during the night, including 17 in a single strike that hit a house in northern Gaza, and at least 10 were martyred in new strikes on Monday morning.
"The Israeli occupation is deliberately damaging the residential buildings, public facilities, and service facilities," Salama Maarouf, head of the government media office, said.
"Because of the intensifying Israeli airstrikes, more than 165,000 housing units were partially damaged and nearly 20,000 housing units were completely demolished or became uninhabitable," Maarouf added.
As a result, about 70 percent of local residents (1,400,000 citizens) were displaced from their homes and headed to 220 shelter centers or other places throughout the Gaza Strip.
597 massacres were carried out against Palestinian families, resulting in 3,813 martyrs, he added.
Gaza is experiencing a dire humanitarian crisis with no electricity, while water, food, fuel, and medical supplies are running out.
