Martyrdom of Sheikh Adnan to empower uprising of Palestinians

Palestinian Islamic Jihad's representative in Iran: The time has come to pay for the Zionist regime.
Tehran (Qodsna)- Naser Abu Sharif, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's representative in Iran told qodsna that Sheikh Khader Adnan fought for the realization of the Palestinian cause for 30 years, since he was a teenager, and most of this time he was under administrative detention or on a long-term hunger strike.
Adnan was finally martyred in an intentional assassination by the extremist and criminal government of the Zionist regime, which repeatedly threatened prisoners with martyrdom, Abu Sharif added.
The Zionist regime left Sheikh Khader Adnan in solitary confinement in one of the worst prisons without support for 86 days, he said.
This operation was a deliberate assassination, Abu Sharif noted, adding that “Of course, the crime of the Zionist regime will not be left unanswered.
This crime is a big crime and it has a great impact among the Palestinian people and it will have a great impact on the Jihadi spirit that will remain in the hearts of the Palestinian people and will certainly have a great impact on the uprising or Intifada of the Palestinian people and their resistance in the West Bank and the occupied land.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Nasser Abu Sharif slams the silence of Islamic world against Zionist crimes, saying “This example of Zionist fascism is an example of Zionism that should be attacked with unity, because it exploits all the weak points of the Islamic world”.
The representative of Palestinian Islamic Jihad in Tehran stated that the world must know the true face of the Zionist regime. The world must know that in historically occupied Palestine there is a single authority that commits all kinds of crimes and apartheid against the Palestinian people, so the world, if it has a conscience, must wake up and think about human rights.
Adnan was publicly affiliated to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Adnan was detained on February 5 and immediately went on a hunger strike in protest against his illegal detention.
He was suffered from severe health problems as a result of the strike, including frequent vomiting of blood, severe weakness, frequent loss of consciousness, difficulty in speaking, movement, sleep and concentration, and severe pain all over his body.
Despite the organization Physicians for Human Rights Israel informing the Israel Prison Service of how imminent his death was, no action was taken to save his life. After 86 days on hunger strike, Adnan died and international headlines followed, juxtaposed against a perpetually growing normalization of Israeli colonial violence.
Over the past 20 years, Adnan had been arrested a dozen times by Israeli forces for his political and anti-occupation activities. He spent a total of eight years behind bars.
He went on hunger strike four times during his detentions, the longest of which was a 67-day period in 2012 that resulted in his release and inspired other Palestinian prisoners held under administrative detention to follow suit.
In 2015, he once again went on a hunger strike for 56 days to protest his detention. He did the same in 2018 for 58 days.
Adnan was also arrested in 2021 and was transferred to administrative detention. He went on a hunger strike for 25 days at the time.
