Quds Day Popularized the Palestinian issue

In an interview with Qods News Agency, Seyed Jafar Razavi, expert of West Asian affairs and Palestinian issues, said that by designating a day of the holy month of Ramadan as the international Quds Day, Imam Khomeini in fact put the highest capacity of the Islamic world for the most important issue of the Islamic world, i.e. the issue of Quds and Palestine to resolve this issue as soon as possible.

Quds Day has made the resistance stronger. Since the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan is Quds Day, it is a turning point for the axis of resistance. All resistance groups and movements coordinate their actions on Quds Day and consider Quds Day as a turning point, and this has made resistance a very serious issue, he said.

There is a difference between the Islamic Republic of Iran's support for the Palestinian issue and other countries that claim to support Palestine. The Islamic Republic has always supported Palestine and the Palestinian issue during these years, the expert added.

In any situation, even when Iran’s own interests have been jeopardized due to the actions taken by Western countries, colonial countries, and great powers against the Islamic Republic of Iran, it has never stopped supporting Palestine, Razavi noted.
