Negev Summit, failed attempt by Tel Aviv
to create new regional equations - Part 2

Gaza (Qodsna) - The Negev Summit was recently held in the presence of the Israeli Foreign Minister, along with his counterparts from the United States, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, Bahrain and Egypt. The meeting took place at a time when the Zionist regime's aggression against the residents of the Negev has intensified in recent months, and the Zionists have intensified the process of expanding illegal settlements in the Negev, in addition to destroying houses and agricultural lands and expelling Palestinians from their homeland.

Mohammad Shalah, one of leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, told Qods News Agency’s reporter in Gaza that the main reason that Zionist regime had chosen the Negev region to hold the summit was that the regime wanted to legitimize its criminal aggressions against the Palestinians.

In recent months, the Zionist regime has seriously intensified the process of demolition of Palestinian houses, destruction of agricultural lands and expulsion of the Palestinians of the Negev, and invited the US Secretary of State and other Arab regimes’ leaders to show that these actions are approved by the US and Arab regimes, he added.  

They also wanted to send the message that all their actions and settlement’s plans in the Negev are supported by the United States and the Arab regimes, Shalah noted.

The Arab regimes completely wrongly think that a weak and powerless regime like the Zionist regime is able to support them, because the Zionist regime is not even able to maintain the security of the Zionist society, Palestinian figure added.

“I also believe that the Islamic Republic of Iran has come under pressure from the U.S.-Zionist axis due to its unlimited support for Palestine in the last few decades after the victory of the Islamic revolution.  Of course, I believe that Iran will definitely win the battle against the axis of global evil and their Arab allies, Shalah said.  

In an exclusive interview with Qodsna's reporter in Gaza, Makhimer Abu Saada, a prominent Palestinian analyst, said: In recent months, the Zionist regime has been in a constant battle with the people of the Negev, who are the main inhabitants of this region.

Holding such meeting with the presence of the Arab countries in the Negev, in fact, means that the suffering of the Palestinian people is not important to the Arab regimes, and the Palestinian people, especially the people of the Negev, should not have the slightest expectation from these dependent regimes, he added.

The second message of this meeting is for Iran that the Zionist regime by expressing dissatisfaction with the process of nuclear negotiations and a possible agreement between Iran and Western countries, is trying to respond to these events by forming a regional coalition, Abu Saada noted.

Another message of the Negev meeting is that the normalization of relations between the Arab countries and the Zionist regime has completely crossed the borders of the Palestinian issue, and the Arab regimes no longer pay any attention to this fundamental issue of the Islamic world, Palestinian expert added.
