Eight European countries, recognize al-Quds as Palestinian capital

Despite all the pressures by U.S. to European countries to recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, eight European states maintain Palestinian consulates or embassies in al-Quds.
As reported by Israelhayom news agency, some 8 European countries decided to keep their Palestinian embassies in al-Quds in a protest against America’s interruptions in their domestic decisions, which avoids recognizing al-Quds as the capital of Israel.
in The U.N. General Assembly resolution that followed the U.S. announcement on Dec. 6 on the occasion of the status of al-Quds, called on all countries "to refrain from the establishment of diplomatic missions in the Holy City of al-Quds." But eight European countries such as – Belgium, France, Greece, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, and the United Kingdom have long decided to operate and keep their Palestinian Authority consulates or embassies in al-Qods in protest to the U.S. controversial decision over the status of al-Quds.
Many world leaders have been critical of the recent decision by U.S. President Donald Trump regarding the status of al-Quds, contending that it prejudges a sensitive issue which should left to final-status talks. Instead, they have urged an even-handed approach to al-Quds, to recognize it as Palestinian capital.
