Poster of the thirty sixth Fajr International Film Festival unveiled

The main posters of the thirty-sixth Fajr International Film Festival were unveiled using a classic photograph of the initial days of Cinema arrival in Iran.

According to the news headquarters of the festival, the poster is designed by Ali Khorshidpour, and a cultural identity that has been featured on posters of the past two years, is also considered.

This term of the World Festival will be held on the eve of the 120th anniversary of the arrival of cinema in Iran, and on this occasion the World Festival has been designed special events.

Seyed Reza Mirkarimi, who has been festival director for the third year, said: "The World Festival of Film is the most dramatic cultural and artistic event of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of international affairs , has been in existence for thirty-six years, and in its new approach  intends  to strengthen Asian-regional cooperation, Cinematic interactive effects, strengthen the scientific and professional aspects of cinematic and active participation in the field of cultural diplomacy.

This festival, since the end of its 33th session, by having a new director, has had a permanent secretariat, and during these three years, it has been monitoring the world's cinema during its planning and organizing of international communications. Mirkrami emphasized: Plans for holding the 36th edition of the festival have begun since last May, but we have postponed the announcement, because of Fajr National Film Festival, until the end of February.

Mirkrami added: the festival's 30 thousands members  club and the presence of people’s enthusiasts, students and professionals from national and international cinema and media support the festival's thriving event, and the design of various sections of the Festival of gives the hope of  providing a standard and favorable event. Secretary of the Sixth World Fajr Festival said that this year's festival will have different sections in line with its national, regional and international goals, along with providing a perspective on the various cinematic attractions of the world, and attention to the cinema of the Islamic world. Several scientific workshops also will take place.

Mirkrami added: "Considering the success and credibility of the two previous festivals in the cinema and world festivals, this year, we witnessed a massive demand for the festival.

Also due to the presence of countless foreign guests such as festival managers, film distributors and buyers, we are facing the demand for Iranian films to participate in various festivals, especially the section of "Browse the Cinema of Iran" or "International Market Shows"
