Abu Sharif: US seeks to create new ME dominated by Israel

Representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in Tehran, Naser Abu Sharif says if Muslims were not divided the US government would have not dared recognize Quds as the capital of Israel.

He made the remarks in a protest rally staged by hundreds of Iranian revolutionary youths at Palestine Square in Tehran on Monday against the US recognition of the occupied al-Quds as the capital of Israel.

Abu Sharif said the US seeks to create a new Middle East with Israel dominating all Islamic and Christian sanctities, adding the Palestinian nation has already started its intifada against the situation and need support.

The Palestinian personality noted however that the Palestinian resistance may be the victor as the force of resistance could be the victor in Syria and Iraq against the US-backed forces.

The students carried banners themed with pro-Palestinian slogans and chanted ‘death to the US,’ ‘Death to Israel,’ ‘Palestine will be freed,’ ‘Quds is symbol of Muslim unity,’ and ‘destruction of Israel is our national cause.’

The rally was culminated with a final statement that the enemy conspiracies, including the recent recognition decision may only be countered through force rather than negotiations or other means.

It added that the fought against the world hegemony may not relent as long as the world’s underprivileged could decide their fate free from the arrogant powers, led by the US government.
