Hamas is winner of Palestinian reconciliation

Managing director of the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) , Mehdi Shakibayi says Fatah and Hamas may be unlikely to reach a final agreement as it does walk within the lines of the Western and Arab priorities.

“It is not important for the western and Arab states to see the resolution of the Palestinian issue or the Gaza crisis,” he told the Iranian daily, Farhikhtegan, adding Egypt has led the efforts for Palestinian reconciliation as it considers the role of Hamas in its internal security.

Qodsna’s managing director said the Islamic Republic treats any pro-unity agreement in Palestine positively, adding Iran sees Palestinian unity as a condition for the destruction of Israel.

The Managing director added however that the Palestinian resistance was on top agenda of Iran’s support to the Palestinian groups.

Shakibayi said either the agreement is gained or not, Hamas will be the winner as it is returning to its original status as a resistance group.
