Media should relay ugly face of discord

A closing ceremony was held for the ninth meeting of the union of Muslim radios and televisions in the holy city of Mashhad, northeast Iran with the director of the Astan Ghods Razavi conglomerate, Sayyed Ibrahim Rayisi calling on Muslim media to divulge the ugly face of internal discord while reelecting the beauty of monotheism.
A closing ceremony was held for the ninth meeting of the union of Muslim radios and televisions in the holy city of Mashhad, northeast Iran with the director of the Astan Ghods Razavi conglomerate, Sayyed Ibrahim Rayisi calling on Muslim media to divulge the ugly face of internal discord while reelecting the beauty of monotheism.
Rayisi hoped the meeting would be blessed by the ambience of the holy city of Mashhad that is sacred due to the shrine of Imam Reza, the eighth Shia Imam.
Rayisi hoped the Muslim media and other independent media in the world would be blessed by the ambience.
The meeting was also addressed by Secretary General of the Union, Ali Karimian who said anti-occupation Muslim media were only a receiver in the past however the flow of information is no more one-sided.
He also said while 12 years ago, there was no room for a clean family channel in air, today hundreds of such outlets are offering content on satellite channels.
Over 200 top media outlets from home and abroad were present in the three-day meeting, presenting their latest works on the anti-occupation resistance in the region as well as Muslim unity.
Also on the sidelines, families of media corps martyrs were appreciated.
Several television outlets were appreciated too, namely Nojaba, al-Itijah, Karbala TV and al-Alam.
The meeting was among others attended by the IRIB President, Abdulali Ali-Asgari.
