Spokesman told Qodsna: We do not realize the rights of which human the west backs

Spokesman of the IRI Foreign Ministry said the world public opinion is well aware that the west levels accusations at the Iranian nuclear activities because it has fears that the Iranian drive might be modeled by other independent countries in the world.

Ramin Mehmanparast was speaking to Qodsna on the sidelines of a conference on nuclear disarmament and non-proliferation Sunday.

Mehmanparast then touched on the theme of the recent nuclear summit in New York which was concerns about possible access of terrorist groups to nuclear weapons, saying that the concern is good however one might enquire why the very nuclear arsenals of the superpowers are not considered as a threat to the human community.

He also said the IRI believes that all independent countries must gain access to nuclear energy and seeks to materialize the goal in coordination with other countries.

Mehamnparast then touched on western double standard in treatment of Middle East developments, adding that the west only approves those democracies which secure their interests and therefore they refused to accept the Palestinian elections which were won by Hamas.

The double standard also surfaced in the west’s treatment of the Zionist regime’s blood letting in Gaza, Mehmanparast said, adding that it is not clear the rights of which human the western countries support.
