Adversaries seek to mar Iranian election

 The Iranian presidential election comes amid hostile efforts by three groups of adversaries of the Islamic Republic in the region who wish to see the election disrupted.

On the one hand, there are countries which are ruled by totalitarian governments who never allow their people to decide their fate. The rulers are afraid about a democratic country on the neighboring side and seek to prevent their people from accommodating the idea of republic system. The very mindset prompted the rulers to have better ties with the deposed pre-revolutionary regime in Iran which was ruled by a totalitarian ruler.

The other adversary is Israel that has lost its pre-revolutionary robust stand in the Iranian security, commercial and cultural apparatus. The Zionist authorities started to oppose the Islamic Revolution of Iran from the very start. The Islamic Republic for its part cut ties with Israel taking the account of the goals of the establishment of Israel namely fermentation of insecurity in the region and domination over the regional wealth.

And, the third group consists of certain neighbors who have reaped the profits of exchanges with Iran however have joined the other two groups in a bid to fulfill the dream of rivaling Iran in the regional equations.

The Iranian election also has adversaries in the international scene, masterminded by the US government as well as Britain and France. The enmity is no surprise as the Islamic Revolution ended their influence in the region and posed a serious threat to the US interests in the region.

The adversaries pursue to incite schism and divide among the political parties in the Islamic Republic as a worn-out ruse. The western mouthpieces usually present themselves as supporters of a given party and seek to hijack it so as to gain a toehold in the Iranian politics and to demonize the party in the eye of a section of the Iranian population with the ultimate goal of creating a bipolar situation in the election.

The Iranian people however have showed they take little effect of the propaganda and rather decide their ballot based on how a candidate might be accountable for his record.
