Intifada, symbol of human conscious

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani says the Palestinian problem is not only the problem of a nation but also the sign of oppression and violation of international rights and ineffectiveness of the international bodies.

The president made the remarks in a closing ceremony of the sixth international conference in support of the Palestinian intifada.

The president reviewed the prideful history of Palestine and said the Israeli provocative and expansionist moves in removing the historical identity of Palestine will eventually bring destructive outcomes for the international peace and security.

The president said Israel currently seeks to present the situation as normal and to make the world to consider the Palestinians as refugees who must live without a land and for the same reason it labels their resistance as terrorism.

President Rouhani said the Israeli call for normalization was all but an effort to have its atrocities in Palestine and beyond forgotten, adding the Zionists seek to have the regional people to believe that they could not change the future.

The president called the Palestinian intifada as an effort to survive the situation, adding it is the sole dignified option for the nation.

“Today Palestine has turned into a symbol for all oppressed nations which has stood up for its rights and destiny,” he said, adding the Palestinian intifada was symbol of human conscious.

The president then touched on the regional chaotic developments and said the Zionist regime has found an opportunity amid the conflicts and seeks to fan resistance-phobia in the region in a bid to recruit the pro-Palestinian states of the region against Iran.

The president urged the regional governments to beware against the conspiracy.

In another regard, the president thanked all pro-Palestinian people across the world and said one should be grateful to those non-Muslim activists who have mingled their life with the Palestinian cause.

The IRI president also declared that the sole way to establish a just and widespread peace in the region was to end the occupation of Palestine and to restore the rights of the Palestinian nation.
