Assassination as Zionist regime’s strategy against opponents

Engineer Mohammed Zawari who was heading the pilots association in southern Tunisia was shot dead by some eight bullets fired by unknown persons who were driving a car without a plate on the 15th of December 2016, near the area of Menzel Shaker, in the governorate of Sfax.

Zawari used to pass through the underground tunnels into the besieged Gaza in the past few years for his humanitarian motivations, including his drive to allay the pain of the Gaza people who endure a multi-year siege laid jointly by Israel and Egypt.

Zawari was leading a drive to develop unmanned drones and was going to design an unmanned submarine for the anti-occupation forces in Gaza. These initiative would have offered the resistance newer capacities in the face of Israel if materialized.

In the run-up to his assassination day, he was contacted by individuals who claimed to be reporters but were spies who were collecting information on his pro-resistance drives. The nature of the assassination then prompt many to point finger at the Israeli spy agency, Mossad which runs a strategy of targeting any Muslim potential. The agency has already been suspected in the assassination of Iranian nuclear scientists as well as hundreds of Iraqi scientists in the past few years.

The Palestinian resistance in Gaza showed in its latest confrontation with Israel that it would no longer settle for defensive options rather it would set up offensive options including through firing of rockets that were built through Iran’s assistance. The resistance force has also mounted another source of concern for Israel by its resistance tunnels.

The Gaza resistance has lately added drones into its list of options to the concern of Israel. Ababil, was a drone that flied recently from Gaza deep into the Israeli airspace and returned without being intercepted. The underwater drone too would further boost Hamas defensive capacity once materialized. Zawari had already passed down his know-how to debut engineers who will give a hand to Hamas in its anti-occupation mission.

The whole situation is a source of motivation and inspiration for the Muslim community irrespective of certain governments in the Muslim community who are racing for normalization with Israel. They have failed to realize the threat of Israel for their own governments though Israel never relinquish its anti-Muslim nature and would always seek to undermine and destroy the community one way or another.
