Palestinian youth, latest martyr in recent Israeli carnage
Israeli forces have shot and killed a Palestinian teenage boy in the occupied al-Quds ('Jerusalem'), according to Press TV.
Israeli police spokesperson, Micky Rosenfeld, claimed in a statement that the Palestinian, approached Israeli guards at Shuafat crossing on Friday evening, and sought to stab an officer.
Israeli forces, in return, fired several live bullets and killed the teenager.
Rosenfeld added that no Israeli security guard was injured during the alleged assault, and that the checkpoint had been closed off.
Witnesses said Palestine Red Crescent Society ambulances rushed to the area following the incident.
Palestinian sources later identified the slain teenager as 16-year-old Mohammad Nabil Salam.
