Prominent Palestinian movement urges national dialog
Leader in Jihad Movement Mohamed al-Hindi called on Saturday for an urgent national dialogue due to the current critical situation in the Palestinian political arena.
In a panel debate organized by the Palestinian media forum in Gaza City, al-Hindi strongly condemned some parties, he refused to name, who called for a Palestinian internal dialogue with the aim of serving the peace process with Israel.
He also called on PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to first of all support the ongoing anti-occupation Intifada, to cancel the Oslo accords, and to restructure the PLO.
Al-Hindi declared that his group would organize a number of workshops and meetings next week dealing with the initiative submitted by its Secretary-General Ramadan Shallah.
Earlier last week, Shallah tabled ten proposals to serve as a way out from the current impasse on the Palestinian national scene.
Hamas considered the initiative as significant for straightening the Palestinian situation.
