Israeli forces demolish home of Amjad Aliwi

The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) at dawn Tuesday knocked down the home of the jailed Palestinian resistance fighter Amjad Aleiwi in Nablus.

Eyewitnesses said heavily-armed IOF troops rolled into Nablus and cordoned off Aleiwi’s family home before they initiated the demolition.

The IOF troops withdrew after they reduced the home to mounds of rubble.

An Israeli reconnaissance drone kept, meanwhile, hovering over the territory.

Clashes burst out between the Palestinian locals and the occupation troops.

At least a Palestinian protester sustained a bullet injury and a woman choked on teargas in the attack.

Last week, an Israeli court turned down an appeal filed by the Aleiwi family to cancel the demolition order.

Israel accuses Aleiwi of involvement in the Itamar anti-occupation shooting in eastern Nablus in early October 2015, which killed two Israelis residing in illegal settlement outposts.

Prisoner Aleiwi is currently serving two life-sentences and 30 years in an Israeli occupation jail.

Earlier, the IOF knocked down the family homes of five Palestinians allegedly involved in the Itamar anti-occupation cell.
