Sunday op, sent shockwaves through Israeli security apparatus
Retired Palestinian military analyst, Wasef Erekat says the Sunday anti-occupation operation dealt a major blow to the Israeli security and intelligence apparatus.
Erekat described the operation as a "veritable security quake," adding the operation took place in a location over where Israel watches with most advanced gears, however the operator could penetrate into the area and shot at his targets with precision.
"The operation made home the message that there is no longer any safe places in Israel," he said.
39-year-old Mousabah Abu Sabih carried out the anti-occupation shooting attack near a police station next to the Ammunition Hill light rail station in the occupied city.
He opened fire from within his vehicle on Israeli police officers stationed opposite police headquarters in the Silwan area in the occupied al-Quds and then fled the scene, continuing his attack as he shot two Israeli settlers driving in the area.
He then proceeded in the direction of Sheikh Jarrah area where he stopped his vehicle and began shooting at riot police pursuing him on motorbikes, according to PIC.
