Israel has no specific strategy for countering Hamas
Member of the Israeli parliament, Ofer Shilah has rejected the Israeli government’s declaration that it had pre-planned the 2014 war on Gaza, arguing that the regime conceded to a ceasefire several times while Hamas rejected any truce every time.
The parliamentarian said the security and military situation of Israel has changed for worse compared to the past, adding the decision making circles in Israel must abandon their claims that enemies of the regime are frightened.
Shilah admitted that the regime’s air force could not accomplish its missions during the 2014 war, adding Hamas launching pads were not destroyed while empty houses were bombed.
The parliament member said the military circles in Israel have yet to know the logic of Hamas in any war, adding Hamas members would not be pushed to abandon any war even if their houses are bombed.
