Iranian nation not to abandon support for resistance front

Senior Iranian authority, Ali Akbar Velayati underlined Tehran's tireless support for the resistance forces in the Muslim world.

"Experience has shown that the Iranian people never gets exhausted with supporting the resistance groups," Velayati told reporters after meeting UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Stephen O'Brien in Tehran on Sunday.

Asked about the Yemeni army and resistance forces' victories against the Saudi aggressors, he said, "That the Yemeni people have fired missiles with the range of 800km shows that they have earned achievements leading to victory."

Reports said on Friday that Yemen's long-range home-made missile dubbed as Borkan-1 (Volcano-1) hit deep inside Saudi Arabia in response to the kingdom's massacre of civilians in the impoverished nation.

Borkan-1 has a range of 800 kilometers and is a new generation of Yemen's domestically-made missiles, Yemen's Defense Ministry announced in a statement.

The Yemeni defense ministry did not mention the exact location of the targets that Borkan-1 missile has hit.

It, however, said that the warhead of Barkan-1 missile has been designed to destroy the Saudi military base structure with respect to the materials used in their construction.
