Egyptian analysts warn about Israeli influence in Africa

Professor of politics in Cairo University, Tareq Fahmi says Egypt will sustain the largest possible damages from the visit of Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu to the countries on the banks of Nile in Africa.

The professor pointed to Israeli policy of showing a benevolent and philanthropic face in the visit, adding the Israeli secret policies have been revealed when inaugurating a dam in Ethiopia.

Fahmi said Israel is forging agreements for two new dams in Addis Ababa in Ethiopia and Uganda, adding Israel seeks a water-for-oil policy in Africa.

Fahmi warned that Egyptian media have failed to note the Israeli policy of cementing its foothold in Africa.

Reflecting a similar tone, Egyptian expert in international affairs, Saeeed Lavandi says the Israeli dam policies are suspicious and eventually aims to push Egypt to famine.
