Israeli pathologist: Al-Sharif would have remained alive

An Israeli pathologist has testified that Abdul-Fattah al-Sharif, who was killed in cold blood by an Israeli trooper in the occupied al-Khalil last March, would have survived had he not taken a bullet to his head.

"The other bruises and damage were not lethal, not immediately, pathologist Hadas Gips told a judge on Thursday.

"Had he received medical care immediately he would almost certainly have survived. Even without it, the deceased might have survived."

Elor Azaria, who killed al-Sharif, is an Israeli trooper.

Last April, a Palestinian pathologist also said that the gunshot wound to the head caused the death of al-Sharif.
