20 US states adopting mesaures against anti-occupation BDS
Over 20 U.S. states are considering - or have already passed - measures against the anti-occupation BDS group that urges pressures on the Zionist regime in a bid to demote its occupying conduct.
The following four states however have already staunchly stood with Israel by officially signing such actions into law.
Arizona
Under a law signed on March 17, 2016, the bill disallows local and state governmental bodies to conduct any kind of business with companies that actively support the BDS movement.
Florida
Under a law signed on March 10, 2016, it requires the State Board of Administration to list all companies with public funding who "engaged in a boycott of Israel."
Furthermore, it bars state and local government agencies from "contracting for goods and services that exceed a specified amount" with companies on that list.
Illinois
Under a law signed on July 23, 2015, the bill "will set up a blacklist of companies that boycott Israel and require the state’s pension funds to divest from those companies.
The law specifies that its intent is to only punish companies that are not based in the United States," according to a Palestine Legal press release.
Tennessee
Under a law signed on April 23, 2015, it is a resolution aimed at condemning supporters of the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions movement, calling such measures ‘anti-Semitism’, a term manipulated by Zionist groups in a bid to tie any anti-occupation resistance with racism.
