PA could not stop security coordination with Israel

A senior official in the Palestinian Authority says the Authority could not stop its security coordination with Israel at the moment.

The PA official made the remarks in an interview with the London-based al-Hayat daily, adding the PA would continue its collaboration following a PLO decision last February.

The official said the decision was taken in light of certain international and regional reasons, without giving any further explanation.

The official said about a year ago, the PLO decided to put its deals with Israel into effect in return of a timeline for Israel to follow the suit but to no avail.
