IRI firm in supporting Palestinian nation

Spokesman of the Palestinian anti-occupation movement, Islamic Jihad says a visit to Iran by a delegation of the movement was pre-planned, adding the team aimed to enhance supports for the Palestinian resistance against Israel.

Davoud Shihab also told Maan that the visit helped the movement to underline the position of the Palestinian issue as a top priority in the Muslim community “irrespective of the regional upheavals.”

Shihab said the team discussed the Israeli siege on Gaza as well as ways to enhance the Palestinian resistance during the Iran visit.

He also reaffirmed that Tehran continues to support the Palestinian nation as a key foreign policy.

In another regard, Shihab underlined that the movement holds fast to its political position, adding the Palestinian movement would steer free of the regional differences.
