Israel arrested 1m Palestinians since occupation

A recent study published by several Palestinian organizations has revealed that Israel has arrested around 1 million Palestinian citizens since its occupation of the West Bank in 1967.

The report was issued as Palestinians marked alestinian Prisoners Day and showed support for the Palestinians held in Israeli jails.

Prisoners Day is commemorated every year in solidarity with the more than 7,000 Palestinians in Israeli jails. Some 320 of the detainees are children aged under 16.
