More scare in Israeli army as chief orders carrying weapons even off duty

Israeli Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot has reportedly instructed his subordinates on Monday to change the orders that require the forces to leave their weapons at base before leaving for vacation.

The order has come after an off-duty trooper was killed by a Palestinian activist in an anti-occupation attack last week.

The order to leave the weapons yet was a desperate one as it was issued in a frustrating bid to prevent the weapons from being stolen.

From now on, however, the occupiers have to carry their weapons home with them.

The occupying army says it will teach its forces on how to secure their weapons while they're off base.
