Anti-occupation intifada: security Achilles hill for Israel

The current anti-occupation intifada, well into fourth month, has turned into a major security challenge for the Zionist regime, a Palestinian report shows.

Al-Zeitounah center of studies said in a report published on Thursday that the Zionist regime had grown frustrated in the face of the current activism with all Israeli tools of repressions ending up in failure.

The Israeli authorities have apparently avoided employing massive repression in fear of an expansion of the intifada, the report showed.

The regime has also realized it could not contain the Palestinian anger through security measures and therefore has decided to test political and diplomatic measures, it said.

The report also noted that the number of individual stabbing operations have dropped in favor of more effective shooting operations against the occupiers and their illegal settlements unlike a surge in the PA security coordination with the occupation.

Currently 77 percent of Israelis have acknowledged to their security fears, saying they are experiencing lowest levels of security ever, the report said.

The current intifada has already turned into Achilles hill for Israel, it reckoned.
