Egyptian lecturer heckled at Haifa University over false notions

Egyptian researcher Dr. Omer Salem of Yale University was interrupted during a lecture to psychology students at Haifa University earlier this week by two students who founded him to be collaborating with Zionists.

Salem came to talk to students about the relationship between Arabs and Jews, as well as what he calimed to be Koran's statement about this relationship.

Two students from the Arab party Balad’s university group stood against him and interupted his lecture.

They were angry at his notions that virtually cast a blind eye at the current Israeli bloodshed against the Palestinians.

"Go talk to the Dawabsheh family about coexistence,” one of the students said, referring to the burning to death of three members of a Palestinian family in the West Bank village of Duma by occupying settlers.
