48 female captives in Israeli jails

 Palestinian Prisoner Society Thursday said the number of Palestinian female captives in Israeli jails rose to 48 including 8 minors and a pregnant woman.

The society pointed out that the number rose after the arrest of theAbeer Ziyad, manager of the women's center in the occupied city of al-Quds ('Jerusalem'); she is pregnant and mother to four children. Three of the detained women are held under administrative detention with no trials or charges, the society highlighted.

The Israeli Prison Service (IPS) has recently transferred 13 female captives from Hasharon jail to al-Damoun prison because of overcrowding, the society said.
