Free media may make voice of Palestine heard worldwide

Representative of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement in Tehran, Naser Abu Sharif says a malicious media campaign is in place against the Palestinian nation and its ongoing intifada.

 The Palestinian personality was speaking in a panel discussion on the performance of the Muslim world’s media over the current Palestinian intifada, organized by the Iranian Societ in Defense of the Palestinian Nation (SDPN).

Abu Sharif slammed the western media for skewing the Palestinian realities, adding the media have placed too much sensitivity on the application of knife in the Palestinian protests while Jewish people freely carry arms in occupied Palestinian areas.

“West Bank and Gaza have turned into large prisons and the Zionist regime have placed unprecedented constraints over Palestinian populations,” the personality said, deploring how western media skew the realities in favor of the occupying regime.

Abu Sharif compared how western media tend to call a Palestinian who just throws stone at occupiers a terrorist while young occupiers freely carry arms and shoot at Palestinians in cold blood.

The Palestinian personality said free media must be there in order to make the voice of the Palestinian nation heard across the world.

In another regard, the Palestinian personality slammed the Egyptian media for manipulating the existing realities in Palestine, adding the media even prove more debilitative for the Palestinian cause.

The Palestinian envoy said his people are under occupation and therefore have the right to defend themselves however the adversary media have sided with the Zionist regie and justify its aggressions.

Abu Sharif noted however that social media have helped the Palestinians to make their voice heard in the west so that nowadays American youths no longer support the Israeli aggressions like past.
