Israeli general warns of prospects of 3rd Intifada

Amid the growing Palestinian protests, Israeli Brig. Gen. (res.) Yehiam Sasson, a senior former security official in charge of containment of Palestinian Intifada has urged Netanyahu's government of Israel to tighten repression on Palestinians in order to impede another Intifada, general uprising.

"In my estimation we are at the beginning of a possible third intifada, the question is if it will develop into a full intifada," Sasson said.

"It depends on the scope of operations that the state of Israel takes immediately."

"The government needs to define a higher priority for dealing with the incidents, and if quick steps aren't taken this will be a third intifada."
